Enjoyed the great web site, especially the pictures. We enjoyed visiting with Gene a couple weeks ago and celebrating his 86th birthday. Joyce and I also got to see his ranch in NE back in June and have several pictures that we took while there. We always enjoy visiting with Gene and Joyce enjoys singing and playing guitar with him.

Great website. I really enjoyed listening to you sing WABASH CANNONBALL. Just wish I could have been the one playing the banjo for you. Super job!!

I got to spend some time with Gene today (Apr 28, 2011) where Gene was being photographed and video taped for his part in an upcoming music video being created by Marc Christian (no relation). As always, we enjoyed Gene's stories and his warm personality. As a bonus, we picked and sang a couple of songs before we departed.

Gene,Just happen to enter your name on Youtube and saw your videos,then googled and got your web site. I'ts good to see that you're still playing music. I was a regular at the Black Angus in Hialeah from about 1978 until you left. I see people from back then fairly often and met people in moose clubs and such and find out they were going to the Angus back then Most every one tells me that it was one of the best times of their life,going to the Angus back then. I was then and still am a member of the SFBA at Ives Dairy Rd. Lots of people there still remember you also. Thanks for all the good times and memories you and your music have given me and many many others.I know you will not know me by my name,if any thing it would be me bugging you to sing "Slippin' Around" Good Luck and God Bless you.
